Trade Skips worked with Dragonfly on a city centre site with tight access, where they were also affected by restrictions in delivery times and had limited space to store waste onsite.
Challenges
The size and location of this particular site was causing issues with skip delivery and housing. The site was too small to to store waste onsite, the surrounding roads were heavily congested and placing the skip on the road was not viable due to the risk of fly-tipping and potential security hazards. On top of all that they had large volumes of waste which needed to be removed within a small timeframe. The complex nature of their waste production required thorough logistical planning.
Solutions
Trade Skips provided a dedicated account manager who was available from early morning to late at night to coordinate out of hours wait and load services from 5am and to solve any unexpected issues as they arose. We used trusted waste providers from our network who were able to arrive within a small, 30 minute window. This meant that the company could get ready for their arrival and work efficiently to prepare the site. Our team coordinated all the logistics to ensure that the right skip arrived at the right time to collect the correct waste according to the site plans. This turned a potential logistical nightmare into a highly efficient, easy to manage situation with help always just a phone call away.
Results
The customer was extremely happy with the service and did not suffer any down time on the project even during the peak of the rip out stage where waste volumes were particulary high. Having direct access to their dedicated account manager allowed them to adapt to the fluctuating volume and variety of waste, keeping the job moving in order to deliver results for their client.
